Hydrographic surveys
The field of marine industry is demanding and exacting To meet this challenges, YJP maintains a pool of highly qualified oceanographers, hydrographers, cartographers and state of the art sea equipment and vessels. This ensures quick mobilization, surveying and processing time.
Some of the marine survey projects involved so far are the diversion of pipelines and services for Fugro Survey (Singapore), geophysical studies and investigation of Singapore waters, coastal studies for the port development of Tanjong Pelapas (Malaysia) and geophysical exploration search for marine sand (Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam & the Philippines).
Environmental studies and surveys
Over the years, the industries worldwide have recognized that they too play a part in protecting the environment and have started incorporating more eco-friendly procedures and processes. Since incorporation, YJP have been actively supporting the industries.
Some of the land projects we have been involved so far are the establishment of real-time ADCP networks for the reclamation of Pulau Tekong and Southern Islands (Singapore), implementation of environmental monitoring and management plan (EMPP) for the construction of dams (Singapore) ; and consultation and analysis for current and wave spectrum on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (Singapore)
Oceanographic Real-time Instrumentation
We believe in keeping up to date our technology and equipment used in the field to increase productivity, quality and precision.
A) WAVE MEASUREMENT
Wave recording for ocean surface and shallow water waves, wave analysis of wave heights, wave spectrum and wave forecast.
B) CURRENT MEASUREMENT
Current measurements at single point or along transect using Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP). Other capabilities include the study of river discharge measurements and suspended sediment concentration, current analysis and predictions.
C) TIDE MEASUREMENT
Tides are the periodic rise and fall of sea levels. This precise knowledge of times, heights and extent of inflow and outflow of tidal waters is critical to a wide range of practical purpose such as navigating waterways, construction of bridges, docks and breakwaters in harbour. We provide real-time tide measurements, including tidal harmonic analysis and predictions.
D) ENVIRONMENTAL MEASUREMENT
We provide a wide range of marine environmental and instrumentation works such as real-time monitoring of water quality, current, wind and wave measurement, including the establishment for environmental impact assessment and management plan, coastal erosion study, sedimentation study, in-situ water and soil sampling and testing
Geophysical Surveys
A) SEISMIC MEASUREMENT
Shallow seismic survey for seismic profiling to ascertain sub-bottom strata (sediment thickness) to the consolidated seabed materials. For high resolution surveys not requiring deep penetration, we use a Pinger system and for surveys requiring deep penetration but less resolution, we use either a Boomer or a Sparker system. The shallow seismic survey is most recommended for pre-dredging activities such as construction of harbours, deepening of waterways, pipe laying and piling works.
B) SIDE SCAN SURVEY
A side scan sonar survey is to determine the seabed features and to detect man made objects or debris on the seabed. We use a Geo Acoustic high frequency side scan sonar system with a dual frequency tow-fish. The echoes reflected from the seabed are graphically displayed as sonar images on an EPC 1086 series recorder.
C) MAGNETOMETER SURVEY
Magnetometer surveys measure the irregularities in the magnetic field in a given area. Ideal survey tool for the locating metal ferrous objects, such as sunken vessel or wrecks and anchors, pipes and cables.
D) SOIL INVESTIGATION
Shallow water drilling or coring using a jack-up barge or vibro-coring equipment for site investigation work. Some of the soil investigation services include Standard Penetration Test (SPT), undisturbed/piston soil sampling and Core Penetration Test (CPT)

A) VOLUMETRIC CALCULATION
Volume measurement with a lidar drone is an extremely fast, accurate and cost-effective method to analyze volumes on your maps from any device. User tests have found that when following best practices, volume measurements are accurate within 1-2% of traditional ground-based laser measurements.
